At Nutritional Gardens, we help women restore their health by stabilizing blood sugar, calming sugar cravings, and supporting metabolic balance through personalized, science-based nutrition.
Using the clinically backed Metabolic Balance® method, we guide you in identifying the foods that best support your unique body, hormones, and metabolism. From there, we provide education, coaching, and lifestyle support to help you turn that plan into sustainable habits without dieting, deprivation, or overwhelm.
Our approach is holistic, practical, and rooted in long-term wellness, empowering you to understand your body, regain confidence around food, and create a healthier foundation for life.
Sarah Seguin, Founder of Nutritional Gardens, helping people restore balance from soil to self.
Through the Sugar Reset Method, powered by the Metabolic Balance® program and personalized food education, I help women in perimenopause rebalance blood sugar, reduce sugar cravings, and feel confident around food again, without dieting, restriction, or willpower-based plans.
I work with women who feel like their bodies changed overnight. Energy crashes, intense sugar cravings, stubborn weight gain, and “borderline” blood sugar results often appear during perimenopause as hormones shift and insulin sensitivity changes. What used to work no longer does and being told to “just cut out sugar” only leads to frustration.
The Sugar Reset Method was created for this exact season of life.
Does this sound like you?
You’ve been diagnosed with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, or told your blood sugar is trending in the wrong direction
You struggle with sugar cravings or sugar addiction, especially during stress or hormonal fluctuations
You experience hypoglycemia, fatigue, or afternoon energy crashes
You want to understand what to eat in perimenopause and stop dieting for good
You’re drawn to real, seasonal foods and sustainable living, but need structure and guidance
If you’ve tried to manage blood sugar by cutting carbs, skipping meals, or relying on willpower and it hasn’t worked, you’re not failing. You’ve just never been given a plan that accounts for perimenopause, hormones, and metabolism together.
How the Sugar Reset Method Supports You
My approach is metabolically balanced and hormone-aware, focusing on:
Blood sugar regulation and improved insulin sensitivity
Hormonal and digestive health during perimenopause
Sugar addiction recovery and craving stabilization
Personalized nutrition plans based on blood work and health history
Seasonal, whole-food education that supports long-term metabolic health
I combine my background in horticulture with my expertise in holistic nutrition and metabolic balance to help women not only change how they eat but how they understand food, cravings, and their changing bodies. This is the foundation of the Sugar Reset Method and the reason results are sustainable, not temporary.
If you’re ready to stop feeling controlled by sugar and start feeling steady, energized, and confident again, this is the work I do and I’d love to support you.
Our vision is to cultivate a world where personal health and planetary health grow together
At Nutritional Gardens, we envision communities where every individual knows which foods best support their unique metabolism and has the knowledge, confidence, and tools to grow those foods sustainably in their own soil.
We see a future where gardens replace grocery aisles, where metabolic balance and environmental balance coexist, and where food once again becomes medicine for people, for communities, and for the Earth.
Clients often describe my approach as:
Empowering and non-judgmental
Science-informed yet deeply holistic
Focused on small, sustainable changes
Supportive of the emotional side of sugar addiction
Whether we’re working 1-on-1, in a group program, or through a workshop, I meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward where you want to be.
MY STORY
My path to becoming a holistic nutritionist started with my own health.
At just 22, I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. I struggled with energy crashes, blood sugar spikes, and sugar cravings that seemed impossible to manage. Around the same time, my mother was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and I witnessed the confusion and overwhelm that comes with trying to change your diet while navigating conflicting information.
Back then, I was already working professionally in horticulture, a field I loved for its connection to the earth and the food we grow. But as I dove deeper into my own health challenges, I realized that food wasn’t just something we grow, it’s something that can heal. That realization inspired me to go back to school for nutrition, and I’ve been helping others reclaim their health ever since.

A Bit More About Me…
When I’m not in the garden or working with clients, you’ll find me walking the dog, sipping matcha tea, or planning my next seasonal planting. I believe healing happens when we reconnect with our food, our bodies, and the rhythms of nature.
